Single employer
Use the 'drop-down' boxes in column A (Family A) to enter 100% and the total Net Pay (this is sometimes referred to as "take home pay") you agreed with your Nanny. The calculator will give you an estimation of the costs involved in employing a nanny.
Two employers sharing a nanny
If you want to calculate the cost of sharing a nanny with another employer (family), state the percentage share time between employers and use the additional 'drop-down' box in column B (Family B) to indicate the second Net Pay.
Note that the above figures are estimates only. The calculation assumes a nanny with a standard tax code of 603L for the current tax year.
